Christian von Koenigsegg's Vision: The founder of Koenigsegg, Christian von Koenigsegg, dedicated nearly a decade to creating the first car, starting with a rough prototype. This passion and dedication laid the foundation for Koenigsegg's future success.
Koenigsegg CC Prototype (1994) - This was the first prototype car developed by Koenigsegg. Although it wasn't a turbocharged model, it played a significant role in the brand's early development.
In 2000, they unveiled their first production prototype, the CC8S, at the Paris Motor Show. Equipped with a 655-hp engine, this early-model CC8S demonstrated the brand's commitment to power and performance.
Koenigsegg CC8S (2002-2003) - The CC8S was the first production car by Koenigsegg and featured a turbocharged V8 engine. It had a power output of 655 horsepower which set the Guinness World Record for "Most Powerful Engine" in 2002, surpassing the previous record held by the Koenigsegg CC8S itself. With an astounding horsepower of 806 hp, the CC8S paved the way for the brand's future successes.
